Service Description
'Broadband' is high speed internet access above 256kbps according to the ITU (International Telecommunications Union).
Broadband internet access is the fastest way to surf, share, download, upload and play games online. It is an 'always on' service. You don't have to dial-up each time to access the Internet. The standard dial-up Internet connection speed is about 28.8 kbps. Our Broadband access speed is N x 64 (from 256kbps, 512kbps, 1024kbps, to 2048kbps).
FINTEL is responsible for providing Internet connectivity into the heart of the Internet Backbone in the United States. With the commissioning of new state-of-the art Optic Fibre Southern Cross Cable Network , FINTEL now provides a bigger international pipe for high speed, high quality, cost effective Internet access connection in Fiji. Customers need private leased lines to connect to the FINTEL gateway or alternatively direct access can be achieved using FINTEL's VSAT Platform.
Internet Service Provider's, Multinational companies, Embassies, NGOs, etc, can order links for their Fiji-based operations.
FINTEL Broadband Internet Wholesale Prices are regulated by the Commerce Commission and table below show the latest price determination delivered 04 June 2010.

a. Wholesale Prices are applicable to licensed ISP's only.
b. All prices are in Fijian Dollars.
c. Prices do not include local loop charges
d. Minimum Term is 12 Months.
e. Conditions Apply.
f. Retail Prices for customers without ISP license can be sought direct from FINTEL Commercial Department, email: inquiries@fintelfiji.com
